I can’t believe we actually did this, and I don’t even like filipino food. LOL, I love my family

Kamayan Na!

The title indicates how Filipinos eat using their hands. Other people may think that eating with your hand is disgusting or ill-mannered but that is how we do it! Eating with your hands on a banana leaf makes the food you are eating 10x better or even more. It’s like exotic. Also, there’s a technique on how you use your hands (you don’t just dump the food to your face).

These photos showed how crazy my family can be. One of our uncles suggested this idea, thinking that no one would participate, YEAH RIGHT! We dove into that food like there’s no tomorrow. We had dried fish (2 kinds), mussels, fried chicken, shrimp paste on sliced tomato, veggies, and, of course, R-I-C-E.  

It was a blast. Everyone was sharing each other’s food. I love it! This is my family, they are the best!
